Dysplasia

We went to the Children's Hospital today for Rebecca to get an ultrasound done on her hips. She has hip dysplasia in both of her legs, meaning her hips kind of slide in and out of their sockets. The right one is not bad, and the pediatrician did not even realize the right leg was affected when he saw her last week. So we got a pavlik harness for her to wear for 8 weeks to hopefully correct it. It keeps her legs bent up and separated to keep the bone in its correct position. It's confusing, but I think I'm learning how it works. When we went to the hospital, I didn't realize we were going to need something to go under the harness, so they just put it over her clothes. Now she will wear a onesie or a t-shirt under the harness, as well as a diaper, socks, and leggings to protect her legs from the velcro. We'll go back every two weeks for another ultrasound and to get the harness adjusted. Please pray this works and no other treatment is needed!
