More pictures in the daffodils

Joy came by with the boys today so we could take some more pictures. It was really warm this afternoon! It did not feel like March at all. I started out with my camera on the wrong setting, and the pictures were way too bright. Those first few pictures were the best one we got of the three kids together. Of course. I'm still kicking myself over that one! Ugh!

This was one of the few from the beginning that wasn't totally washed out. Changing it to black and white helped, but I'm still totally kicking myself.

Daffodils

The daffodils are blooming here, so I've been wanting to get some pictures of Rebecca. Every year I say I want to go to Wye Mountain, but we never make it. So for now these will have to do until our some day trip to Wye Mountain.

Mowing

Rebecca loves riding the lawn mower with Daddy. Sometimes she falls asleep!

Rebecca loves playing outside. We went outside this morning before lunch.

Arkansas Frontier

We went to another pumpkin patch this past weekend. This one had a smaller pumpkin patch, but more other stuff to do including a train ride and a walk through the enchanted forest. I liked the old schoolhouse and ranch. Joy said it looked like everything in the ranch came from my house. :) The kids wore their costumes and did their part to look cute. I finally got a pretty good pictures of them, and all three were smiling! That's pretty rare!

Short update

Joy and I had another great yard sale this weekend. The weather was great, we had a lot of people come, and we got rid of a lot of stuff! We got everything put on tables in her driveway Friday, and had 6 or 7 people come by Friday! We made $15 Friday, and we hadn't even started yet:)

Steve is busy with his campaigning for state rep. A week or so ago, someone took a bunch of his signs. He put out more in the same places, and they're gone again! It's definitely not the highway department taking them. Just an Eddie Hawkins fan.

Here's a pic of Steve and Rebecca mowing. She has really been a Daddy's girl lately. This was a few weeks ago when the grass was a little greener. It's looking pretty brown now.

I hear a little girl in her crib talking to herself, so I'd better get her up.

My crepe myrtle

I've been wanting a crepe myrtle. Steve bought me a one for Mother's Day when we were at Lowe's and I told him I wanted a crepe myrtle for Mother's Day. When I saw all the others blooming a few weeks later, I wasn't sure mine was going to this year. But I'm happy to report it seems to be doing very well. I really wanted a red one. It's kind of a dark pink, and for a while it had some white blossoms in it for some reason. I kind of liked it, a strawberries and cream kind of thing. It's doing very well despite my neglect. I'm afraid to do anything to/for/with it because I might do more harm than good. I don't exactly have a green thumb.

Gardening with Daddy

Paula and Jeremy sent us lots of clothes for Rebecca that Sarah has outgrown. There was a little pair of sunglasses in there too. Rebecca loos so cute! She didn't want to keep them on long though.

The deer have been eating a lot of the garden, and Steve has been working hard to keep them out. His newest attempt is a fence that goes over the garden like an arch. I don't like it because it doesn't look good, but maybe it will keep the deer out.

Heber Springs

Here's Justin and Jackson playing and my dad. Jackson loves rocks lately. There were some people fishing nearby, and they showed Justin the fish they'd caught. He found a vine and did some "fishing" of his own. I asked him if he caught any fish. He said no, but he caught some rocks. :)

Spring Park. . .

There are seven springs at Spring Park in Heber Springs. Years ago, the water from the springs were used to heal ailments, eye problems and other health issues. I've always thought they all tasted the same, like rotten eggs. Amanda was a good sport about tasting them all. She said they taste different.

This week

Here's a few pictures from this week. Rebecca likes going outside with her Daddy while he works in the yard and the garden.

Here she was playing in her exersaucer and eating puffs. Sometimes she tilts her head to her right for some reason.



She copies us sometimes now I started this, and she copied me. She was eating green beans, and this is probably how she felt about eating them.

Rebecca and Gizmo love to play together. And she loves looking out the windows.

Park fun

Joy and I wanted to go to the park Saturday to try out my her camera more. The boys did not want their pictures taken. They wanted to run and play and pick up sticks and throw rocks. But I did get a few pictures of them.

New crops

Here's some of the latest crops from Steve's garden. We have our first watermelon. Such a cute little watermelon!


And we have lots and lots and lots of squash! We have quite a few cucumbers too, so I need to find some good recipes to fix something with cucumbers. Great, now I'm getting hungery!


One a side note, I went back to the doctor this morning. I don't think Rebecca will be coming in the next few days. But tomorrow is my last day of work! And I think my Grandmother may stay in town until Saturday, so we'll get to go to yard sales. She and Emily have been here since Thursday, so that is a long time for Grandmother! She's always said company and fish get old after three days, and she usually doesn't stay anywhere for more than a couple of days.

Garden

Steve planted his garden a few weeks ago and now we have some veggies sprouting up. He's worked really hard to keep it up, so hopefully it brings in a good crop.
